ISAIAH 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
COLLISION CAFE
This is where the students set up a Cafe within the school cafe! Collision provides the bagels, English muffins, hot chocolate, cappuccino, and more. This is one of the big outreaches we do within the schools where the entire school is invited to come have some food or drink. The BEST part....
1. The students serve their peers, this teaches them about Leadership and Servanthood;
2. It is FREE to all the students.
SMALL GROUP
We encourage the students to join small groups, whether it is in the Church or through them getting connected with students from their school and starting one personally. Either way, we always encourage the students to be part of a Church which is best suited for them, with a great Youth Ministry they can be a part of.
SOCCER OUTREACH
We hold a weekly soccer night where we have a large number of students come together from all the schools around the city, and from all nationalities where they share one common bond... the love of soccer. This is a great way for the Gospel of Christ to be shared so "every student in Sioux Falls has the opportunity to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
LEADERS MEETING
This is where our Student Leaders get together on a weekly basis, and we have the great privilege of encouraging them, empowering them to go deeper in Christ and to use their gifts, and helping them reach out to their peers.
