Perspective

I was sitting in my lounge with our little boy sleeping in my arms. As I was sitting there a car drove passed and parked in his garage. The person got out and the garage door started to close. I had seen the person park their car numerous times, but this time it looked like they had not pulled their car in far enough. So, as the door was closing, I was thinking, this is it, total destruction is about to happen, the car is going to be smashed in and the garage door is going to crumple! In my mind, I was looking forward to seeing it happen! Wrong attitude to have I know! I'm sure all you good Christian people would be banging on their window to alert the person of what was about to happen!

As the door continued to close, I was getting more excited! Then..... nothing happened and the door closed fine! No destruction, no damage, nothing! I was a little disappointed to be honest! I was hoping to see something happen, but I got nothing!

It made me think about the way we see God. When we look at Him, what do we see? How do we see Him?

Do we see Jesus as a tiny pansy god who does nothing, He just sits up in Heaven moping around with a sour face because our lives and the world is in so much turmoil and despair? Or do we see Jesus as the Almighty God who can do exceedingly abundantly more than what we could ever imagine? Do the miracles we have been praying for? Move mountains in our life, which only He can do, that have kept us from doing what God has asked us to do?

We need to have the right view and perspective on how we see The King. When we have the right perspective on God, then we will see Him for who He really is and what He wants to do for us.

Today, look at Jesus in a new way. A way you have never seen before. A way that will open your eyes to who He really is.

1 John 1:5 NIV “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all."

1 John 4:16 NIV “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."

1 Timothy 1:17 NKJV “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."
