Where Does My Help Come From

Recently I was in Colorado and took the time to go on some hikes. One area I was hiking was the Black Forest Area. Back in 2013 when we lived there, there was a horrible fire that destroyed many homes, took some lives and burned a lot of the forest. Before the fire, the area was lush with trees. Now there are many burnt trees and cleared areas of trees that serve as a reminder of what happened.

While I was hiking, I was focusing on the trail and the burnt trees. I finally looked and the view was what is pictured above. These views were there all the time I just hadn’t thought to look up. It reminds me of the verse Psalm 121:1-2. I know where I need to look for my help. I know God is always there, whether or not I seek Him for help. I know where my help comes from.

PRAISE:

  • For transformed lives on Friday evening (salvation and hope)

  • More small groups continue to spring up

  • Community within the schools

  • Memorial Middle School students’ outreach Friday was amazing. Students who are in Collision paired up with those who are not and they shared their testimonies.

Prayer requests:

  • For more table hosts for the Annual Celebration Dinner on Thursday, May 11.

  • For volunteers to continue to get connected to groups, even through the summer.

  • For Christ’s name to be made known even more in the schools.
