Missio Dei

We are excited this school year about missio Dei. This is the Latin phrase meaning the mission of God. God is on mission first by sending His son to die for the sins of the world. He is secondly on mission by sending the Holy Spirit to those that believe in His son and giving them the power to be His witnesses. We believe this year will be a year of the Harvest. Luke chapter 10:2 (ESV) says, “And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” We have faith that by the power of the Holy Spirit, God will send out 1400 student missionaries to join Him in what He is doing among their peers. We are asking these student missionaries to commit to pray, live, tell, serve, and give. We also believe that each student missionary has a circle of influence of between 8 to 10 peers. This means that if, by God’s grace alone, we reach our goal we could potentially see a movement of the Holy Spirit impacting between 11,000 and 14,000 students in Sioux Falls. There are 14,000 teenagers in Sioux Falls and our vision is that every student would have the opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for joining God on His mission to bring souls into His Kingdom and bring great glory to the name of Jesus.

God is working and moving on the students’ hearts to be missionaries.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Pray for more labors: more coaches, mentors, disciplers, and student missionaries.

Pray for more opportunities to reach students.

Pray for salvation for students in the schools.

Pray for saved students to go deeper in their relationship with God.

Pray for the staff, coaches, mentors and disciplers as they work with the students.
