Staying Strong In The Changing Seasons Of Life

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

In each of our lives, we are faced with many seasons. Hopefully, as Christians, we are seeking God's will and are fortified with His courage as we enter each new season. I was given the opportunity nine months ago to follow God's will in coming on board with Collision as Ministry Staff. That season of my life has allowed me to grow and mature in my walk with God, has allowed me to be even more aware of the crucial role we believers have in spreading the Gospel and has given me the privilege of working with God's appointed servants on the Collision staff. In addition, I'm deeply grateful for the opportunities I've had in interacting and serving with the Collision students in our city's middle schools.

What an amazing season it has been! However, I do feel God calling me to another season of life. After consistent prayer this past month with my family and close Christian friends, I feel called back to teaching full-time. I will once again be substitute teaching, and will teach Spanish and ELL Corporate Training classes for STI. The season with Collision was a crucial one for me, and I am filled with His strength, courage and peace as I enter back into this regular teaching role. I am thankful for the part each of you played in making this middle school ministry season so valuable for me! I will continue to volunteer for Collision, as much as time will allow, and will be in continual prayer for everyone involved in this life-changing and God-honoring ministry! Thank you again, for your continued support of Collision! You are appreciated! God's richest blessings to you all!

PRAISE:

We thank God for a thriving middle school student ministry at Edison, George Mc Govern, and Whittier. We thank God for the initiative students at Memorial and Patrick Henry are taking to start Collision at their schools.

The freshman girls are taking initiative at the Lincoln High School leadership meetings.

The students at Roosevelt High School are leading their peers in a devotion and prayer time prior to Collision Café starting. It is encouraging to see them grow in their walk with the Lord.

At George McGovern last week students shared where they were at with God. It was a time to get to know each other better and plan for Collision.

We praise the Lord for all the volunteers who have completed/are in the middle of completing the volunteer process. 19 volunteers went through a training last week. The Lord is faithful!

Charlie Sanders and his family move into their first home this week.

Blessings to you, Caroline! We are grateful for your support as you re-enter the teaching field.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Our New Tech High student leaders are supporting each other by attending one of their youth groups together. Pray that it goes well.

New Tech High will start their first outreach and Collision Café this week. Lincoln High School will start their first Collision Café this week as well.

Pray for more student leaders to get involved in Collision at Washington High School.
