collision.org - Sin Revealed

About 75 Memorial Middle School students came to the beach themed outreach. At the after school party, the students rotated through stations: a photo booth, “beach” volleyball, a baby food tasting game, and they had nachos and root beer floats. One Collision student leader shared a beach theme message using an analogy that we all have sunglasses and are blind from sin. By accepting God, He took of our sunglasses and showed the sin. She also encouraged the students to read their Bibles.

The students are living out 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Praise:

  • The success of the outreach at Memorial Middle School and how the students carried out their plan well.

  • On Friday the high school Collision student leaders had a student leader retreat. They were made aware of God’s presence at a greater level and the majority accepted the challenge to commit to fulfill the Great Commission in their lifetime—go wherever God would lead or direct them.

  • Collision student leaders are being impacted by the power of prayer.

  • The message of hope is being shared as students share at outreaches their personal stories and how God has helped them to overcome struggles.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for families and for the Church as they adopt students to disciple, that they would rebuild the foundations that are crumbling. We are noticing that even those who claim to be Christian have little biblical foundation.

  • Pray for preparations for the ithinkbig school assemblies coming in April (from California) and for open doors for them in Sioux City and the reservations.

  • That people would continue to be willing to invest in the lives of the youth through volunteering with Collision. Our next training will be Monday, February 29.
