Power Of A Testimony

The testimony that SFC gives to me and through me has increased my love and devotion for the Lord and His Great Work, and being a part of our Collision Prayer Group has, I believe, a lot to do with that. On a spiritual level I can see a desire growing, hearts that long for an ideal relationship with God rather than a forced one. Students have opened up to the idea of being a Christ-centered theist, and how that might play out in the life of a high school student. There is a need for revival. As a prayer group, Collision begs God for revival to take place in a school that has become almost callused to the amazing Word of God. We ought not take it lightly that we have the constant freedom, to experience God’s voice through His precious Word that has been so graciously given to us. As a student body there is plenty of room for growth, because as idolatry discerners I believe we should be reflecting God more than we are currently. Like public schools, our school has struggled with many of the same issues, trials and temptations in life. Lying, cheating, stealing, pride, disobedience, death, low self-esteem, bullying, the list goes on. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be surrounded by a staff that takes godly control over these issues, and rightfully so. Being a part of Collision has helped us as a group to take the necessary steps to becoming more like Christ and less like the world. We now know how to find our value in God’s grace and mercy instead of our failing personal achievements.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2).
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light" (1 Peter 2:9).
Over all great stuff is happening, reaching out and being the hands and feet of Christ, as our main goal in life, is what we are all about. I have seen young people come together to honor God in a way too great to explain. So, I ask for prayer that God would allow us as teenagers to set an example for both the young and elderly, that as a school we would have unity in Christ in His everlasting love. That we would spread the great news, that lives would be changed and transformed, and renewed. That we would NOT only be fans of Jesus, but followers, true disciples to the awesome will of God.
Thanks for your support! God changes lives.
May your prayers echo Dalia’s heart for her school (the same cry as many other students in this city):
For revival in the schools
For students to overcome struggles “by the power of the Lamb and the word of their testimony”
Thanksgiving for godly teachers/role models
For student to be continually transformed by renewing their minds
For unity in Christ at the schools
For the Great News to be spread as lives are changed, transformed, and renewed
For students to be true Followers of Christ
Merry Christmas!
