Time With Jesus

Isn't it amazing how many people go to a coffee shop with friends or on their own for hours at a time studying or chatting and drinking coffee? Let's flip it around; how much time do we really spend with God?! Instead of spending hours with friends (which I'm sure is great!) why don't we spend some time with Him? Spend time reading and listening to God.

There is more to gain from spending time with Jesus than spending all of your time with friends or doing other things. You sow what you reap.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

We need to get back to basics and make it simple. We need to get back to that point where it is just Jesus and you. 30 minutes a day reading, praying, listening to what God is saying. If it means you have to get up out of your bed an extra 30 minutes earlier, then do it! It is for your benefit! Tabitha and I do this daily and we also encourage our students to do this when we see them on a weekly basis. Making time for the Creator encourages us, changes our day (for the better), makes us understand things we never could before, and helps us get to know His heart. Allowing for that designated time can and will change your life.

We cannot be complacent and let this become just another thing we do or rush it to get it over with. It is a discipline to keep this as a sacred time with Jesus. You cannot be a lukewarm Christian and sit on the fence. You have to make that decision to stand up and be the person God has called you to be. In order to do that, spend time with Jesus! It all comes back to our relationship with The King.

So, my challenge to you, spend at least and no less than 30 minutes a day with Jesus, and see your life change.

Be Blessed and encouraged as God speaks to you today.
