God Is Faithful

As my two teens and I did devotions, with tears streaming down my face, I was reminded that God is faithful. As Chad led in prayer and Kristin in song, I had this overwhelming sense that they are whole. God has shown my family that he is a “father to the fatherless.” Luke 18:16 states, “But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” As we minister to the young people in our schools, our churches, and our communities may we see their importance, knowing that their Father desires for all of His children to come to Him. He is the father of all fathers. He is faithful. We have been given the honor and privilege to share the love of God with this generation!!
PRAISE:
God’s blessings on expecting parents of staff members (A baby to Ian and Tabitha Sadler in August, and a baby to Chris and Cori Schmaus in May).
The students at New Tech High’s weekly outreach were very engaged and there was lots of interaction. A student leader took initiative in the planning, as there was no school last Monday, their normal planning day.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for the time put into the volunteer process (training, interviews, placement) and the planning of the annual celebration dinner to flow smoothly.
Pray that the classroom opens this week for Whittier’s after school Collision. As of now, they have been meeting in the gym along with the after school program.
Pray for the students at Tea High School as they explore new ways of reaching their school.
Pray that students will know why they believe what they believe, that they may not turn away from Christianity later in life, but be firmly planted in the word of God.
Pray for Edison Middle School students who are hoping to get back on campus with the weekly outreaches. Pray along with them for a host teacher.
