Sioux Falls Christian held a chapel where SFC Collision students did worship and then told how they are involved in Collision and how others can get involved. Groups of students are involved in multiple ways: a student missionary group with freshmen girls at Lincoln High School that meets in students’ homes, serving as mentors and helping at the after school program at Patrick Henry, playing soccer with multicultural students on Fridays at the Sanford Fieldhouse, a weekly prayer group at SFC for the purpose of gathering to create unity, and Collision Café at SFC.
Charlie Sanders, Ministry Staff, reports, “It has been a blessing to see the hearts of the students at Sioux Falls Christian for each other. Just recently some students helped a junior to raise funds for his mission trip. Love God, love your neighbor is being modeled.
Psalms 133:1-3 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion; for there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever."
A student read these verses. This is what we are praying for. FAMILY.”
PRAISE:
20 students responded at the SFC chapel that they were interested in getting involved with Collision. Pray for them as they decide which area(s) to get involved in.
The George Mc Govern Middle School Outreach went well. The students felt encouraged and empowered as they saw all that they planned unfolding.
New students are being reached by recently adding an after school Collision group at New Tech High.
Patrick Henry Middle School students had an outreach on Friday. It was encouraging to hear each of the leaders share how they got involved in Collision and what it means to them.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for a SFC student’s grandpa to be healed physically, and spiritually that Jesus will become Lord of his life.
Pray for the Lincoln High School Collision Leaders as they make plans for an Easter Outreach the week before Easter.
Pray for students to spend time in the word and praying, desiring more in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
