When My Fear Is Crippling!

What does the word fear bring to mind? For me fear is the opponent of faith. To be crippled by fear means to be hindered by the enemy through our thoughts. What are we allowing the enemy to steal from us because he is using fear to control our thoughts?
For as he thinks in his heart so is he. Proverbs 23:7
There may be an opportunity to advance in your company but you decide not to apply out of fear of trying something different and failing or moving to a new place but the fear of the unknown keeps you from making the move. Whatever it may be when we operate out of fear we miss God’s blessings. We will never allow ourselves to go outside of our comfort zone, which is where God wants to use us the most, if we do not win the battle over fear.
Perfect love casts out all fear. 1 John 4:18
To really believe this verse, we are saying we are His children and His perfect love for us will replace all fears of the unknown because we know God sees what we do not and only has the best for His children.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, Plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
It may not work the way we plan but it will work out for our good.
All things work together for the good to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
To win the battle of fear we must strengthen our faith through God’s word and stand on His word to be true. We can be confident in His word and apply it to our lives. God's promises are there for us to have hope and assurance in His love for us. When our faith grows in Him our fear diminishes. We can trust the will of God will not take us where the grace of God will not protect us.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, HE is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2
Be encouraged and do not allow fear to cripple you today! Walk in God’s perfect love and peace!
PRAISE:
New Tech High Collision has been meeting on Thursdays after school, beyond their normal planning meetings and outreaches. It has been beneficial to get to reach more students.
The Sioux Falls Christian Collision Prayer Group and those at SFC who do mission outreach have come together for prayer on Tuesdays. It is awesome to see unity at the school growing.
Middle School Collision leaders are visibly changing into better leaders. Each one has grown so much since their first Collision meeting.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for more volunteers to come alongside the many broken students.
Pray for unity to increase in the different schools.
Pray for students to be creative in the ways that they reach out to their peers.
Continue to pray for students to spend time in the Word and praying, desiring more in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
