Collision - Prayer & Praise 11th April 2016

I am in the middle of following a prayer card that is called “31 Ways to Praise” by Bob Hostetler. Each day you can focus on one attribute of God, using Scripture-based sentences as prayer starters. For example, today’s read: A Provider God. “I praise you today, Lord, as my Jehovah-Jireh (the Lord Will Provide), who makes all grace abound in me and generously provides all I need” (2 Cor. 9:8).

There are so many attributes of God to be thankful for. It has been neat to focus on one main attribute at the beginning of my prayer and to really expand on it.

You can find the link here to the “31 Ways to Praise”. May the praises of the Lord flow freely from your lips!

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1).

“Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips” (Psalm 63:3-5).

PRAISE:

  • Two Patrick Henry students accepted the Lord as their Savior on Friday morning.

  • 100 students were at Memorial Middle School’s Outreach on Friday morning. A student leader shared about being accepted. Students really pay attention when a peer is sharing.

  • Collision students have been sharing how God is growing them deeper in Him because of things that are happening at their church.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for the ithinkbig school assembly team as they are doing assemblies on Lower Brule Reservation today and will be doing 5 assemblies in Sioux City this week. The following week they will be at Axtell Park Program on Monday, Roosevelt on Tuesday, Washington on Wednesday, Lincoln on Thursday, and New Tech High on Friday.

  • Pray for the Glasser Family to have meaningful time together in the midst of a very busy schedule with the assembly team.

  • Pray that students would desire God to “set a fire down in their hearts” and want more of Him. May His praise be continually on their lips.

  • Pray that students seek out others who need to feel accepted, and in doing so they will have the opportunity to pour out Christ’s love on them.
