Letting Christ Take Over

I daily receive a devotional from a ministry in England called UCB- United Christian Broadcasting. Last week one in particular that I read really stood out to me.
This part specifically has stayed with me:
“What was the secret of Paul’s strength? ‘I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.’ (2 Corinthians 12:10 MSG)
D.L. Moody said ‘When a man has no strength, if he leans on God he becomes powerful. Regardless of how long you’ve walked with Jesus, never forget that every ounce of your adequacy comes from Him.”
I am currently going through a lot of transition in my life. For example, I am six months pregnant with a precious little boy and I am honored and extremely excited about our little blessing! I must admit, I also feel completely out of my depth in this new season. I have never been in this position before and feelings of inadequacy can easily creep in. However, I love what the excerpt above says, “never forget that every ounce of your adequacy comes from Him.”
No matter what season of life you are in or what you are facing, may I encourage you (as I am being challenged myself) to allow Christ to take over and be your strength. May you be reminded that your identity and adequacy come from Him alone. And may you lean on His strong arms and receive His power to bring you through every situation and every new season.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 ESV)
Praise:
Baby Emsley is finally home with the Schmaus family and doing incredibly well!
Washington High School Collision Students and Staff were able to bless the freshmen today by serving them ice cream. It was a celebration for the final 15 days until their finals.
Prayer:
For the Collision Annual Celebration Dinner which is only two weeks away.
That God would continue to work and we would see even more students impacted for Him before this school year finishes.
For all of the principals, teachers, administrators, etc. at each school to have strength to finish out these last few weeks well. Also, for students to finish well among the distractions that come along with this time of year.
For the Washington High School park outreach tomorrow.
