First of all we would like to celebrate with you that $332,000 of the $400,000 faith goal mentioned at the Celebration Dinner has been raised! God is faithful! We praise God for people like you who are investing in youth, raising up leaders and helping empower students to transform their own lives and the lives of others. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19. “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22). Join us in faith, believing that the complete $400,000 will be provided. Here is the script of the vision video we did for our banquet. You can read it below or watch it here:
"Every ministry has a great focus on where God has placed it. Collision is planted in Sioux Falls, in the schools and in this community. This is our mission base where God is advancing the gospel in this city, in the schools, with and through students. Our students, families, schools and city are experiencing great pain. It’s in the hallways, in the lunch rooms, in the classrooms, out on the sidewalks, locker rooms, at homes and in churches. Students are trying to fill the void and cover the pain through sex, porn, bullying, self-harm, suicide, gossip, pride and many other addictions that promise hope, happiness, power and love. This city is full of pain. If we stand by and do nothing, we become part of the problem. Imagine if we were united as churches reaching students before Jesus becomes the last resort. Imagine if when students were in need, they would expect us to be there. Imagine if instead of reacting to all of this generation’s problems, we saw the problems erased because of the gospel. Imagine if we all decided to do something for this next generation, to share the gospel with a young person, to pray with a young person to be released of addictions, to take a homeless young person into your home. What if, as a united body of Christ, we did so much that the students couldn’t imagine themselves without us. What if there was the hope the gospel brings, everywhere with the students in this city. Imagine if for every way that a student can go down a path that leads to emptiness & hopelessness, that the body of Christ would be there offering hope. We can be that hope. We must be that hope. We will be that hope." “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We saw people respond to Christ in giving. Thank you for your investment, support and love! We believe we are going to see God do these things in our city. For today’s prayer points please pray these prayer points taken from “Prayer that Birth Revival” by Life Action Ministries. “If my people . . .will humble themselves . . .” Pray that we as Christians will bow before the Lord each day, so that we may receive His grace daily to live as we should (Jas. 4:6-10). Pray that all those who have a personal relationship with the Lord will walk in a spirit of humility, as Jesus walked, and live in recognition that pride leads to destruction and humility precedes honor (Mic. 6:8; Prov. 18:12). “. . . and pray . . .” Pray that God’s people would unite in praying for all who are in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in godliness and holiness (1 Tim. 2:1-4). Pray that urgency and fervency would characterize our prayers (Is. 64:9). Pray for a spirit of prayer to spread like a wildfire across our land and world until every church becomes a house of prayer (Phil. 4:6-7; Lk. 18:1; Mt. 21:13). “. . . and seek My face . . .” Pray that God would increase our belief in His ability to intervene supernaturally and do the impossible. Pray for a desire to fast as we seek the face of God (Heb. 11:6; Mk. 9:23; Jas. 5:16-18; Is. 58:6-12). Pray that God’s people would not be self-sufficient. May we see our dire need for help from God and others (Jn. 15:5; 2 Cor. 3:5; Neh. 6:16; Jer. 2:31-32). Pray that God’s people would lay aside their differences, and unite behind the desperate need for an outpouring of God’s Spirit in revival (Ps. 133:1-3; Eph. 4:1-6). Pray that a healthy fear of God would permeate our hearts and minds. Ask God to deliver us from the fear of man (Prov. 1:7, 9:10, 29:25). “. . . and turn from their wicked ways . . .” Pray that Christians will meditate daily on the Word of God, allowing God to conform them to the image of Christ (Ps. 119:9-11; 1 Pet. 1:13-2:3; Rom. 8:29; Phil. 1:6; 2 Cor. 7:1). Pray that God’s people will honestly acknowledge their sins, seek God’s forgiveness, and expose all sin appropriately (Ro. 2:1-2; Gal. 6:1). “. . . then I will hear from heaven . . .” Praise God that His hand is not too short to save. Claim the promise that the Lord draws near to all those who call upon Him in truth (Is. 59:1; Ps. 145:18). “. . . and will forgive their sin . . .” Thank the Lord for His promise to extend mercy to those who “confess and forsake their sin” and that He is faithful and just to forgive sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (Prov. 28:13; 1 Jn. 1:9). “. . . and will heal their land.” Praise the Lord that He promises to heal those who have fallen away, and bind up the wounds of the torn and bruised, and restore the years the locusts have eaten (Jer. 3:22; Hos. 6:1; Joel 2:25) (Prayer that Birth Revival by Life Action Ministries--for the full list of 25 prayer points download it here)
