Prayer & Praise - Angie Glasser 16th August 2016

John and I have been married for 19 years as of today! I am so grateful for God knitting my heart with His and with John’s. I feel honored to be a partner with John in ministry. I love knowing that our family has a role together to impact others for Jesus Christ. I don’t know what it looks like completely, but know it in my spirit.

Over the years of being married, God has drawn me closer to Himself, teaching me patience, letting go of my selfishness, and about the importance of teamwork. He has rooted us deeper in Him, resulting in a better marriage.

Through unity in Jesus Christ and being intentional in our relationship with Him, we the body of Christ, are stronger. The Holy Spirit reveals things as we “ask, seek, and find”. There is no greater relationship than a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Thank you, Jesus, for being alive in my marriage!

Draw off these verses today to strengthen your marriage or to pray for another couple’s marriage (“5 Bible Verses that will help Strengthen your Marriage” from christianpost.com).

  1. "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."- 1 Peter 4:8

  2. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." - Ecclesiastes 4:12

  3. "Be completely humble and gentle; Be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace."- Ephesians 4:2-3

  4. "For I know the plans I have for you, 'Declare The Lord,' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."- Jeremiah 29:11

  5. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."- Mark 10:9

Praise:

  • Ian and Tabitha Sadler had their baby boy on August 12. Welcome Ekeziel Brave Sadler (7 lb 9 oz and 19 inches long)!

  • The Glassers had safe travels home (arrived Wednesday from being gone 2 months to Ukraine and Greece) and are adjusting better to the time difference.

  • Praise God for all that He taught the Glassers while away and their renewed vision for the gospel to be spread.

Prayer Requests:

  • Tomorrow night at Sertoma Park, youth will be gathering for prayer and worship (6:30-8:15 pm). Pray for unity among churches and their youth.

  • Pray for the staff as we plan and prepare for the new school year.

  • Continue to pray for staff as they raise their support.

  • Pray for students to be intentional about their relationship with Jesus, and intentional about telling others about Him.
