The start of the school year has been awesome; we had multiple people give their lives to Christ at Memorial Middle School and Patrick Henry. I want to share one story in particular. My wife, Marcy, and I were meeting with our Student Leaders from Patrick Henry. One student obviously had something on his mind. He was shy and very uneasy with some of the questions that we asked and topics that we talked about. As we started to pray I sensed in my spirit that he was in a great deal of fear. I asked the student if fear was an issue and a few things came out, the main one being that he didn’t know Jesus. I quickly assured him that it was his day to get his name in the Book of Life. Riley, an 8th grader at Patrick Henry, put his arm around this boy and said, “It’s okay, I am here for you.”
Students are leading their families and friends to Christ and are being equipped to train others to share Jesus. These things are happening all through our city each and every day. I am blessed to be a part of this great movement. It doesn’t matter how big or small, we thank all of our partners and volunteers for responding to the call! PRAISE:
A Lincoln High School student came to Christ two weeks ago and has already led 2 of the 15 names of those he wrote down who he wants to come to Christ.
More students are being challenged to reach their friends for Christ and are getting involved in Collision. They are encouraged by all the testimonies and the potential for what could occur at their school.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Our staff team building experience was postponed today because of the weather. Pray that next Tuesday the weather would be good for us to complete these activities outdoors.
Pray for more volunteers to come alongside groups of students, equipping and empowering them to share the gospel with others.
Pray that as students hear the challenge to fulfill the great commission that they would say yes and be committed to living it out.
