Seasons Change

We all go through major changes in life. Whether it be a new school, new friends, a new job, moving to a new neighborhood or changing careers. There are so many times in life where we look back over the years and say to ourselves, “Wow, I can’t believe how far I’ve come.” That’s because we’re constantly changing. This may be scary to think about because for some of us, CHANGE is a very hard thing. We are terrified of the BIG things in life that will rock our normal lives that we have grown to be comfortable in. I’ve learned that when you let God take control over your life it is impossible to stay in that same place. Change is necessary! God doesn’t want us to continue staying in once place. He calls us to go forward and deeper in His relationship with us.
It has been almost two months since I became a part of a ministry God has called me to. I always wanted to make someone out of myself, like being the first one in the family to go to college and having a fancy “nurse” title under my name. That was THE plan once I come back from my mission trip in Africa. During my time there, God showed me that he has something beyond what my eyes could see, something greater in mind. With that, my world was turned upside down. I no longer had a 2-year plan ahead of me. I knew that God had something else in store for me, but what exactly I didn’t know. It’s a great privilege to be on staff with Collision and share about the love of God with students!
Sometimes, we want to tell God what we need, a job, a brand new car, better financial situations, a certain way we want to look, the list goes on. But at the end of the day, only God knows what we need and He is faithful to provide.
PRAISE:
More students at Washington High School are being challenged to be bold and reach their friends for Christ.
Staff have been bold and consistent in sharing the gospel with others. It is then easy to encourage others to do the same (students, friends, family, donors, volunteers).
Prayer requests:
Pray for our mission trip to Ukraine Oct 15 – Nov 4 (John, Antonio, and Lyuvena). Staff will be talking with pastors and students about student evangelism, attend/help out at two youth evangelism conferences, and will serve alongside Paul Logan and the Arise! Ukraine Team.
Pray for more volunteers to come alongside groups of students, discipling them and training them how to share the gospel.
