WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Are you ashamed? What will people think of me? Will people look at me different? These are question that build up walls. Transparency is a very powerful tool that Satan has stolen from Christians through his lies and deceit. We sometimes shy away from transparency because we think the image we portray is more powerful than our testimony of deliverance. I was a backslidden alcoholic, drug addicted, porn watching, fornicating, stealing, prideful, cursing, lying, aborting, angry idol worshipper. I knew that I was living in sin by choice. Praise God for the cross and how He doesn’t give up on us!!! (PS: thank you parents and grandparents for your persistent prayers).
God has delivered me of all those things and has restored my life in Him!!! However, as a devout Christian that hates his garment to be spotted, I struggle with perfection, which hinders my obedience at times. I have to keep this before the Lord so I am not overcome by it. Show me someone that is not running into Satan, and I will show you someone that is walking with him.
An author and prophet from South Africa said this: "Last week when I preached in South Africa, I shared a very embarrassing experience from my past. I didn't want to tell the story because I was afraid people would think less of me. But I felt I should be brutally honest. As a result, many men came to the altar and admitted similar experiences.”
There is contagious healing for others at the end of your transparency. The more transparent we are; the more people can see Christ in us. In the book of James, Chapter 5, it says that one of the steps to receiving spiritual and physical healing is confessing your sins to one another. BREAK OUT OF PRIDE!!!! You don’t have to continue to carry that burden, GO GET YOUR HEALING. Brothers and sisters pray for the boldness to go tell a trusted friend what you are going through, then testify to the world what God has done in your life.
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
PRAISE:
John, Lu, and Antonio made it safely to Ukraine. They will lead seminars tomorrow on student evangelism.
Roosevelt High School’s first outreach on campus went really good. The student leaders implemented their plans well. They discussed identity—how they see themselves and how others see them.
New Tech High Student Leaders challenged their peers this past week to live atypical lives--lives that show the love of Christ to others.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for students to see and develop a fervent prayer life as they rage war against Satan.
Pray for Collision staff, students and volunteers to be balanced in the areas of prayer, sharing the gospel, and discipleship.
Ask God for students to desire planning intentional time in their day to pray, beyond what is already routine for their family.
