Thanksgiving Blessings

As we pause to enjoy family, food, and the Thanksgiving Holiday, I wanted to thank God for you. Thank you for your prayers, your financial investments, and your involvement in the lives of the young people of Sioux Falls. You are making a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of teenagers in each school. We are so excited to see the vision of all 14,000 students being able to hear the gospel continue. Our goal is to have 2000 multiplying missional movements that are all sharing the gospel. These groups are extensions of the Church of Sioux Falls.

Just yesterday, I received great news from an amazing volunteer who described two of his students, that are a part of a missional movement that meet on Monday nights at our office, who had repented of their sins and received Christ after months of learning about Jesus. The greatest part of these student stories is that they are now starting to attend church every Sunday.

Another report came in yesterday of a high school girl giving her life to Christ after a long time of considering the cost of following Jesus. Students are hungry for God and we are so thankful for what Jesus is doing in our city and for your partnership in seeing lives be transformed weekly by the gospel. There is great hope for our next generation and there is amazing gratitude in our young people.

I’m so thankful for Christ coming to us when we were still sinners. I’m thankful that he sent Paul to the Gentiles and gave Peter the vision that the gospel was for the Gentiles. I’m grateful, like the one leper that returned to Jesus, because I’ve been cleansed from sin and given everlasting life. God has been so good to us as individuals, as a ministry, a city, and our nation. As you pause with your family to give thanks, please remember Christ and the reason that we celebrate the harvest. Jesus said that the harvest is ripe. Please pray to the Father for more laborers for the harvest.

God bless you richly this Thanksgiving!
