2016-Its almost over! This is the time of year we start to reflect on the past year as we look forward to new beginnings.
For the past few years I have asked God to give me one word for the coming year. In 2015 my one word was CHANGE. Boy was it ever! I started to feel in my spirit God was moving me into something new. In July of 2015, I left my computer job and came on staff at Collision. What a blessing from God! Little did I know God was giving our family another change. We didn’t know it in 2015, but we were expecting a big change in the next year as our beautiful Emsley Grace (meaning miracle of God) arrived 10 weeks early on March 18th.
In December of last year, God gave me a word for 2016. It was RECONCILIATION (redemption). God redeemed so many things in our family this year. Relationships were reconciled and redeemed. God is good!
Now I look forward to 2017. God gave me a word during a church service 2 weeks ago. I am excited to see where God will take me this year with the word DISCIPLINE. Honestly, this was not a word I was excited about. But God is already teaching me to not look at it as a command but a gentle way to grow closer to Him.
Do you have a One Word for 2017? Ask God to reveal His one word for you and watch Him move in this new year ahead.
PRAISE:
More disciple making movements have formed and are continuing to start.
Prayer Requests:
That God would open the door for students at O'Gorman to have Collision at their school and for them to be involved in outreach.
Pray against the enemy's attack. There has been an increased level of attack as students are coming to know Christ at an increased level and are being challenged to share their faith.
Pray that God supplies all of our needs according to his riches and glory as we give thanks for his faithfulness.
Friday is the Worship and Testimony night. Pray for the testimonies shared to inspire and motivate students as God receives the glory.
